Temporary, June - August, Monday - Friday

$15.00/Hour

35 hours/week

SCHEDULE: Full-Time, Temporary Position

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: This position provides support and facilitation of program for summer programming including training and supervising volunteers

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide guidance and role modeling to student at all times.

2. Provide academic enrichment activities for students.

3. Implement programs under guidance of supervisor.

4. Provide proper record keeping and reporting including activities and events conducted. Monitor daily attendance and member status.

5. Ensure a healthy and safe environment, supervising members in program areas at all times.

6. Preparations set up and clean up of all programs.

7. Maintain inventory of all program equipment and supplies, keep them in good order, and reorder as necessary.

8. Participate in special programs and/or events as requested by supervisor.

9. Complies with agency policies and procedures, COA regulations, federal and state requirements, and educational/certification/registry requirements.

10. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Candidate must have the ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.

2. Ability to monitor and provide support to students and volunteers.

3. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

4. Valid Ohio Driver’s License and ability to meet agency requirements for driving insurability.

5. Must be able to meet agency requirements for criminal back ground check (Ohio Bureau of

Criminal Identification & Investigation).

Requirements

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL/LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or GED required. College degree preferred, knowledge or experience in human services field or equivalent experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to communicate: read, write and speak clearly, Must be

able to drive offsite locations. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. with or without assistance. Must be able to

bend, stretch and stand.
