Fully Remote Junior Accountant (PROCAS Experience Required)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant with experience using PROCAS accounting software to support our day-to-day financial operations. This position is ideal for candidates looking to build a career in government contracting accounting while contributing to a collaborative finance team.
This is a fully remote opportunity (EST) and is a 6 month contract to hireCompensation: $28-31/hr conversion salary $55-60k/yr

Responsibilities:

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions in PROCAS.
• Prepare and post journal entries, and assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Maintain accurate general ledger entries and supporting documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of invoices and billing reports in compliance with FAR/DFARS and client contract terms.
• Help maintain and reconcile project costs and indirect rate allocations using PROCAS.
• Support the preparation of financial reports, account reconciliations, and audit documentation.

Requirements:

• 1–2 years of accounting experience, ideally in a government contracting environment.
• PROCAS accounting software experience required
