Senior Systems Analyst

TACG is seeking a Senior Systems Analyst to support operations in Dayton, Ohio. This role is responsible for applying advanced analytical processes to the planning, design, development, and implementation of new and enhanced web-based information systems that support customer business requirements. The Senior Systems Analyst serves as a technical and functional liaison between stakeholders and development teams, ensuring IT solutions are secure, integrated, cost-effective, and aligned with mission objectives.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Analyze business processes and current systems to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct needs assessments and consult with stakeholders to define functional and technical requirements.
- Develop comprehensive system requirements documentation, specifications, and business cases.
- Lead or support business process reengineering initiatives.
- Conduct feasibility studies and trade-off analyses for proposed IT solutions.
- Define system scope, objectives, and integration requirements across procedures, databases, policies, software, and hardware components.
- Develop cost estimates for new or modified systems.
- Oversee and coordinate system design, development, and implementation activities.
- Collaborate with project managers, developers, and cross-functional IT teams to ensure successful execution.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements to optimize functionality and user experience.
- Plan and coordinate system implementation activities, including testing and deployment.
- Ensure rigorous application of information security and information assurance policies throughout the systems analysis lifecycle.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation, including requirements, process flows, system designs, and user guides.
Essential Job Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (required)
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, Security+, CISSP) are a plus
- Required Experience and Skills:
- Experience supporting Air Force systems and/or Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs preferred
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex systems and propose effective technical solutions
- Knowledge of software development methodologies and IT infrastructure principles
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Experience conducting cost-benefit and feasibility analyses
- Understanding of systems integration principles across hardware, software, databases, and operational procedures
- Familiarity with information security and compliance frameworks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
