About the role

Zillow Group is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Marketing Strategy team. This role sits at the intersection of analytics and strategy, serving as an internal consultant to solve complex problems, uncover opportunities, and support decision-making across the Marketing organization. Ideal candidates bring strong analytical thinking and rigor, sound business judgment, a structured approach to problem solving, and a results-driven mindset. They have a proven track record of tackling complex and ambiguous problems, generating actionable data-driven insights, and collaborating effectively across functions and levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate complex or ambiguous business questions impacting Zillow’s Marketing organization into structured analytical approaches

  • Proactively investigate data to uncover trends, surface risks, and identify opportunities to improve marketing effectiveness and efficiency

  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to generate data-driven insights, ranging from robust deep-dives to broader strategic assessments

  • Develop clear, concise, and well-reasoned recommendations that support decision-making across the Marketing organization

  • Partner with Marketing leaders and cross-functional teams to develop strategies, evaluate opportunities, raise risks or blockers, and align on recommended actions

  • Manage and adapt to multiple analytical requests by assessing priorities, adjusting to shifting needs, and maintaining focus on the highest-impact work

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $97,800.00 - $156,200.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

  • 5+ years of experience in analytics or strategy roles, with a strong track record of using data to solve complex business problems and inform strategic decisions; experience in internal or external consulting a plus

  • Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker

  • Experience working with relational databases, collecting data, and conducting complex analyses on large datasets

  • Familiarity with core marketing concepts, including channel strategy, performance measurement, and optimization

  • Solid understanding of email and web marketing best practices, with experience developing owned channel strategies and recommendations

  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, structure open-ended problems, and develop well-reasoned, data-driven solutions

  • Clear and confident communicator with the ability to distill complex analyses into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audience

  • Demonstrated ownership mindset, comfort in unstructured environments, and a bias for action

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Economics, Finance, Math, Statistics); MBA or MSBA preferred
