Job Description
The assistant rowing coach supports the head coach and is responsible for a variety of coaching, teaching and recruiting issues, along with practice and race-day related functions as assigned by the head coach.
Duties:
- Provide instruction to rowing student-athletes on the fundamentals and strategies of rowing and racing. Understand and follow USRowing and racing guidelines
- Assist in recruiting/retaining highly skilled student-athletes; Design and execute effective novice/walk-on programs.
- Actively support and promote the NCAA’s Life in the Balance strategic positioning platform, embracing the six ideals of leaning, balance, resourcefulness, sportsmanship passion and service.
- Assist with arranging lodging/meals/transportation for team travel; trailer driving/boat transportation experience.
- Assist in monitoring the academic progress of all rowing team members.
- Maintain and manage team equipment.
- Assist in securing donations, sponsorships, and volunteer opportunities in support of the rowing program.
- Assist with arranging for lodging and meals for team trips.
- Assume duties of the head coach in his/her absence.
- Other duties as assigned

Compensation
The annual salary range for this role is up to $40,000. The final offer will be based on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience, as well as applicable state regulations, internal equity, and business needs, and may fall outside of the stated range.
