This role is responsible for making and driving decisions for Manufacturing Strategy, Planning and Execution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Manufacturing Operations in the defense industry and extensive experience leading New Product Introduction and Transition to Production of complex programs. In addition, the candidate must be highly proficient developing complex proposals inclusive of generating / documenting compliant Basis of Estimate for Operations and Supply chain content for capture efforts across the entire product life cycle (development, production and sustainment). The candidate must have strong working knowledge of proposal development systems / tools. The candidate will be responsible for presenting comprehensive strategies on Manufacturing Plans and how the efforts are proposed to customers.
This function aligns its Program objectives with the Secondary Strategic Business Unit (SSBU) vision, and works with Consolidated Manufacturing Centers (CMC) to deliver Program results and will directly support a Program Management Office (PMO) in leading manufacturing strategy for programs in development.

What You Will Do:
YOU WILL support classified & unclassified programs within a technically diverse portfolio of complex products.
YOU WILL be responsible and accountable for successful execution of all operations task that occur within the Program
YOU WILL be responsible for presenting comprehensive strategies on Manufacturing Plans and how the efforts are proposed to customers.
YOU WILL be responsible for making and driving decisions for Manufacturing Strategy, Planning and Execution
YOU WILL support Operations Focal point for the PMO across all factories to meet execution goals and contractual requirements (via cross functional partnering with Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, Facilities, Security, & Digital Technology
Travel will be required (10 - 20%) to site locations
Support, Management and/or Creation of artifacts for Manufacturing strategy planning, Proposals, Gates Reviews, Financials, Infrastructure/Capital Projects, Appropriation Requests (ARs), etc.
Prepare, Review, Report and Present consolidated Proposal and EAC packages to Senior Management for approval
Engaged in Product Development, Producibility, Testability and how/where to “Make” Product.
Kickoff Operations Program planning at Gate 5 for new Programs and drive manufacturing readiness.
Engage in Program Test and Manufacturing Readiness Reviews (TRR/PRR) and ensure alignment to manufacturing plan and support of factory requirements. Support creation / execution of hardware maturation plans.
Influence product designs to achieve cost and schedule targets through Design for Manufacturing & Cost workshops, producibility/affordability studies, Transition To Production (TTP) planning and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) implementation.
Report on Program Contract On-Time Delivery (OTD) Performance for both CMC and non-CMC products.
Support Gate 11 activities at close of Development/EDM /Production contracts.
Qualifications You Must Have
Minimum 10 years of professional Program Leadership / Manufacturing Operations experience.
Experience in Transition to Production and developing complex proposals and Basis of Estimate.
Direct experience developing Program schedule integration to ensure alignment to Program schedule / contract.
Typically requires University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date
