Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented General Ledger Accounting Manager to join our growing accounting organization. This individual will be a hands-on leader responsible for managing key areas of the general ledger, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the monthly close process, and driving continuous process improvements across the accounting function.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can quickly assess existing processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and partner effectively with the accounting team to increase efficiency, strengthen controls, and improve scalability. They bring a strong technical accounting foundation developed through a combination of public accounting and industry experience with an excitement for solving complex accounting issues and a willingness to help shape a best-in-class accounting function within a growing company.
Key Responsibilities
• Play a key role in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Prepare and review complex journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions including billing, settlements, and eliminations
• Perform analytical reviews of balance sheet and income statement accounts, investigate variances, and ensure appropriate resolution of accounting issues
• Ensure financial transactions are recorded in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies
• Review account activity, investigate unusual transactions, and resolve accounting issues
• Partner with accounting leadership to establish accounting processes, improve operational efficiency, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Lead process improvement initiatives that enhance accuracy, scalability, and automation
• Develop, maintain, and document accounting policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Strengthen and maintain internal controls while promoting accounting best practices
• Assist with the annual external audit, including preparation of audit schedules, responding to auditor requests, and ensuring audit readiness
• Support internal and external reporting requirements
• Collaborate with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and other business functions to ensure accuracy of financial information and improve cross-functional processes
• Participate in special projects and other ad hoc accounting initiatives
• Mentor and develop accounting team members by providing coaching, guidance, and performance feedback
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
• CPA or equivalent strongly preferred
• 6–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Big 4 experience preferred
• NetSuite experience preferred
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience in high-growth, private equity-backed, or rapidly scaling organizations preferred
• Experience working in a multi-entity environment preferred
• Experience in data centers, technology, infrastructure, real estate, construction, or other capital-intensive industries is a plus
