About the job you’re considering
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Battery Manufacturing Engineer to lead and optimize battery cell production and pack assembly operations. This role is ideal for a forward-thinking engineer with a strong foundation in digital manufacturing technologies and a passion for driving operational excellence across global facilities.
Your role
- Lead process optimization initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality in battery manufacturing.
- Design and implement lean transformation programs to reduce costs and scale operations.
- Manage end-to-end product industrialization, including global offshoring and new plant commissioning.
- Drive MES (Manufacturing Execution System) design and digitalization strategies for battery cell and pack assembly lines.
- Oversee global IT transformation and coordinate commissioning activities, including FAT and SAT, across multiple sites.
Your skills and experience
- 5+ years of specialized experience in battery cell manufacturing processes and commissioning
- 5+ years of experience in battery cell manufacturing and industrial automation (PLC, SCADA, MES).
- Strong expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and simulation tools like MATLAB or ANSYS.
- Proven track record in high-volume production optimization and process validation.
- In-depth knowledge of high-voltage safety systems and compliance standards.
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in engineering or a related field, with experience in the automotive or EV sector.
