Job Profile Summary
This role focuses on providing professional and nonprofessional nursing care services in accordance with physician orders. In addition, this role focuses on performing the following Nursing Support duties: Provides basic care services to patients, but does not have an RN or LPN license. Positions in this nursing support work under the direction of physicians, mid-level practitioners, and may work under the direction of registered nurses depending on their unit. An organizational related support or service (administrative or clerical) role or a role that focuses on support of daily business activities (e.g., technical, clinical, non-clinical) operating in a “hands on” environment. The majority of time is spent in the delivery of support services or activities, typically under supervision. A senior level role that requires broad knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through extensive work experience and may require vocational or technical education. Works under limited supervision for routine situations, provides assistance and training to lower level employees, and problems typically are not routine and require analysis to understand.
Job Overview
This position works under the supervision of the professional nurse and collaborates to meet the needs of the patient within the scope of the role. Responsibilities may include assisting in direct patient care, providing environmental support, facilitating patient safety, and perform a variety of day-to-day clerical activities. This position assists with ensuring a continuous, efficient and smooth patient flow. Serves as a liaison between staff and patients with both clinical and administrative responsibilities.
Job Description
Minimum Qualifications:
1. High School diploma or equivalent OR Four (4) years of health care or nursing experience.
2. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide Certificate from an approved certifying organization.
3. One (1) year of experience in health care or nursing.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Two (2) years of experience in health care or nursing.
2. Coursework in EKG and Phlebotomy.
3. Bilingual.
Hours: Full-Time, 36 hours, Night Shift
Location: Hight Pointe House, Haverhill, MA

1. Prepares patients for examination and treatment in a timely manner, including: obtain vital signs, urinalysis and blood glucose, microalbumin, and A1C. Obtain, document and reconcile allergy and medication lists. Collect and prepare specimens and relevant documentation for transportation to off-site laboratory, assuring accuracy in labeling and documenting.
