What is needed for this job as our Director of Operations:

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
• 1+ years of experience in operations or in a supervisory role
• Has a proven track record displaying an ability to motivate, educate, develop, and inspire others
• Evening leadership at Doylestown branch
• Provide oversight of the facility and staff one weekend (Sunday) per week
• Experience in customer, member, and/or human services
• Strong communication, member service and problem solving skills
• Personal experience with fitness and exercise in a gym setting
• Strong relationship building skills

 

The responsibilities we will trust you with as our Director of Operations:

• Champion of River Crossing YMCA brand; driving the membership experience from transactional to transformational across all levels of staff and departments. 
• A proactive, self starter in delivering the “wow” experience to members and staff. Communicates highly with Branch Executive
• Supports the Welcome Center and staff
• Cross train in Health & Wellness to support InBody, Wellness Challenges, etc.
• Responsible for supporting Fitness Inquiries that will help drive membership retention and Personal Training sales. 
• Support Member Appreciation Days
• Support Member Engagement phone calls
• Manage Membership Engagement Representatives and Health & Wellness Coaches to delivery service excellence
• Recruit, hire, train, develop, schedule and direct assigned staff and volunteers
• Review and evaluate performance
• Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals
• Create Membership and Health & Wellness staff schedules
• Perform Membership and Health & Wellness payroll functions
• Lead from the front by providing 30 hours of direct member service, including 20 hours per week in Membership Operations and 10 hours per week in Health & Wellness Operations
• Support members in the implementation of member retention initiatives
