Sentara is hiring a Clinical Authorization Specialist for our Home Infusion Team
Location: Chesapeake, VA 23320
Status: Full Time (40 hrs/wk)
Shift: Monday - Friday Days
Hours: 8:30am-5pm
The Clinical Authorization Coordinator is responsible to maintain, confirming and secure referrals, authorization, or pre-certifications required for patients to receive medical procedures and/ or medication/enteral therapy. Ensure accuracy and completeness of patient account information and maintains a database of payer authorization requirements.
Education
High LPN or Pharmacy Tech Trade School (Required)
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
Certification/Licensure
Virginia Pharmacy Tech License (Required)
CPhT License (Received through the NHA or PTCB (Required)
or
Virginia LPN License (Required)
Experience
2 Years Pharmacy Experience (Required) or 2 years Clinical Experience (Required)
Home Health Experience (Preferred)
Authorization Experience (Preferred)
Epic Experience (Preferred)
