As the first Senior Accountant at KarmaCheck, you will be instrumental in maintaining the financial health of the company. You will oversee financial operations, implement robust controls, and provide strategic insights that contribute to the company's overall success. This is a unique opportunity for a dynamic and detail-oriented professional to make a significant impact in a fast-paced and evolving industry.
The expected base compensation for this role is between $95,000 - $120,000 for work performed in the United States. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include seniority level, experience level, transferable skills, education, location, business needs, training, and market demands. This range may be modified in the future.

What you'll do -
- Financial Reporting: - Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with industry standards.- Develop accurate and timely financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: - Collaborate with department heads to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models aligned with KarmaCheck's growth objectives.
- Compliance and Risk Management: - Ensure adherence to accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. - Implement and enhance internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
- Cash Flow Management: - Monitor and optimize cash flow to support operational needs and investment requirements. - Effectively manage working capital and liquidity.
- Operations: - Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the company, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.- Take primary ownership of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close. - Process general ledger entries for all accounts.- Calculation and maintenance of Revenue Recognition and deferred revenue by accounting standard 606.- Calculate and own the commission and compensation planning process for Sales.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven track record of at least 2 years leading month-end close processes.
- In-depth knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distill complex financial concepts into actionable insights.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, fostering effective collaboration across cross-functional teams.
Bonus points if you have --
- A CPA certification
- Prior experience in Netsuite administration.
