We’re working a minimum of 4 days a week onsite as part of our commitment to fostering a culture of professional growth and cross-functional collaboration as we work together to engineer the extraordinary.As an Electrical Technician III, you will perform a wide range of technical activities to support Medtronic’s innovative Cardiac Ablation Solutions products. You will work under limited supervision, applying your broad knowledge of operational systems, techniques, and practices to run projects, conduct testing, analyze data, and provide technical reports. You will also guide and train junior technicians, ensuring high-quality outcomes that align with our mission of alleviating pain, restoring health, and extending life for patients worldwide.
You will collaborate with engineers, manufacturing, quality, and other cross-functional teams to execute test plans, troubleshoot systems, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex test results.
The Cardiac Ablations Solutions Unit develops life-restoring therapies and healthcare solutions that span the care continuum; integrating technologies and applying clinical and economic evidence to increase patient access, improve efficiency of procedures and deliver successful patient outcomes.
Primary Responsibilities
Conduct testing and troubleshooting of electronic and mechanical components, systems, and assemblies using schematics, diagrams, and defined procedures.
Perform data collection, analysis, and report generation to support product development, manufacturing, and quality improvement efforts.
Independently run small projects, including planning, executing tests, interpreting data, and presenting results.
Maintain and calibrate test equipment to ensure accurate and reliable measurements.
Propose solutions to moderately complex technical problems and work with supervisors to implement process or system improvements.
Train and provide guidance to lower-level technicians, reviewing work for accuracy and completeness.
Support root cause investigations and corrective/preventive action activities.
Assist in developing or refining work instructions, test procedures, and documentation to improve efficiency and repeatability.
Ensure all work complies with applicable quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product builds, engineering evaluations, and verification/validation testing.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
4 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in the use of standard test instruments and measurement tools.
Ability to interpret and work from engineering drawings, schematics, and test procedures.
Strong documentation skills for recording test results and preparing reports.
Experience in medical device or other highly regulated industries.
