Microsoft Corporate Accounting is hiring a Finance Manager - Statutory Compliance for a finance professional with proficient communication skills who can drive for clarity in a highly complex environment. This Finance Manager - Statutory Compliance role is a part of the Corporate Accounting Statutory Legal Entity Lifecycle team which provides support and guidance, from entity creation through entity termination to all Microsoft international subsidiaries.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and track international statutory filing compliance across all Microsoft global subsidiaries.
  • Partner effectively and coordinate with primary stakeholders, including Legal, Tax, Treasury, Finance Operations, global controllership community, and external auditors to resolve subsidiary issues.
  • Create and distribute monthly global compliance metrics and reporting for business stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and prepare materials for monthly Statutory Compliance Monitoring Committee meetings and quarterly global statutory community and leadership meetings.
  • Provide guidance on Microsoft Statutory Compliance policy and Statutory Tool processes to all stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and conduct training programs for the Statutory Controller Community.
  • Assist with implementation of statutory tool enhancements, including UAT testing and community training.
  • Perform ad hoc requests and special assignments to support legal entity lifecycle projects.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business, Accounting /Finance, or related field AND 1+ year(s) accounting or finance experience
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting /Finance, or related field AND 2+ years accounting or finance experience
    • OR equivalent experience.

 

Additional or preferred qualifications
  • Professional accounting certification such as CPA or equivalent.
  • Master's Degree in Business, Accounting /Finance, or related field AND 3+ years accounting or finance experience
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting /Finance, or related field AND 5+ years accounting or finance experience
    • OR equivalent experience.

 

Accounting IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $75,100 - $148,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $98,800 - $163,300 per year.
