Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, mission oriented Information Systems Security Specialist in the Falls Church, VA area, with strong Customer relationships.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provide technical support in the areas of vulnerability assessment, risk assessment, network security, product evaluation, and security implementation.
- Design and implement solutions for protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of sensitive information.
- Provide technical evaluations of IT systems and assists with making security improvements.
- Participate in design of information system contingency plans that maintain appropriate levels of protection and meet time requirements for minimizing operations impact to customer organization.
- Conduct security product evaluations, and recommends products, technologies, and upgrades to improve the organization’s security posture.
- Understand Information Security Continuous Monitoring (ISCM) concepts and the employ of security automation and risk dashboarding tools and processes to quickly identify and respond to risk and support more efficient Assessment & Authorization processes, such as ongoing authorization.
- Conduct testing and audit log reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of current security measures.
Basic Qualifications:
- Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 5 years of related experience.
- Knowledge of DOD, DOE or other industrial security program and in-depth knowledge of the DOD, DOE or other government security regulatory manuals.
Security Clearance Requirement:
- US Citizenship and eligible to obtain DOJ Public Trust (must possess Public Trust prior to start).
Physical Requirements:
- Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing/walking/Talking and must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
- Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one work site to another.
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Requires frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers.
- Communicating with others to exchange information.
- Working with computers.
For all positions requiring access to technology/software source code that is subject to export control laws, employment with the company is contingent on either verifying U.S.-person status or obtaining any necessary license.
