Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Therapist (RBT) to join
our team in providing both direct and indirect services for students with Applied Behavior
Analysis needs as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). The ideal
candidate will work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to
create a supportive learning environment that promotes student success towards their IEP
goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ● Direct Services:
    • Conduct behavioral assessments and develop individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on student needs.
    • Implement evidence-based ABA strategies and interventions to improve student behavior and learning outcomes.
    • Provide one-on-one support to students, focusing on skill acquisition, behavior modification, and social skills development.
    • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary to ensure effectiveness.
  • Indirect Services:
    • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to create a cohesive approach to student support.
    • Provide training and professional development for school staff on ABA principles and strategies.
    • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational goals based on behavioral needs.
    • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of student progress and interventions.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Foster positive relationships with students, families, and school personnel to facilitate open communication and collaboration.
    • Advocate for students' needs and promote awareness of ABA strategies within the school community.
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support for students.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification is recommended, but not required.
  • Experience working with students with special needs, particularly those with behavioral challenges.
  • Strong knowledge of ABA principles and techniques.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Compensation

Compensation for this role is between $20.19 to $24.83 per hour.

Starting pay is determined using various factors including but not limited to relevant professional development, education certifications, and tenure with Uncommon Schools.
