Cornell Health Pharmacy is a fully accredited retail pharmacy that welcomes all community members including; students, faculty, staff members and visitors. The Pharmacy Technician assists the Pharmacist with functions as allowed by Title VIII, Article 137, of New York State Education Law. Duties include preparing and dispensing prescription medications, processing financial transactions including OTC items and prescriptions, and completing transactions following NYS procedures regarding prescription pick up. This position works collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, providing exemplary front line customer service. This position is OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) category BBP2, TB2. ERG

We are seeking staff that can be adaptable and have flexibility with their daily work schedule due to our irregular business timetable. This flexibility will allow us to help each customer that visits and needs to use our pharmacy services.

Required Qualifications:
High school diploma and 2 to 4 years relevant experience or equivalent combination. Relevant experience includes cashiering, payment at time-of-service transactions, or as a pharmacy assistant in a retail or clinical setting.
High degree of attention to detail, especially in drug accountability, medication accuracy and fiscal responsibility.
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and to meet HIPAA requirements.
Experience working directly with people from various socioeconomic backgrounds.
Experience working with inclusion, belonging and wellbeing programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate degree with field of study in science, pharmacy technology, or related area.
