We’re looking for people who are determined to make life better for people around the world.</p><p></p><p><b>Position Overview:</b></p><p>The Sr. Director Design and Integration Leader will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the LRL strategic vision in collaboration with the global manufacturing sites, ensuring it remains a global leader in innovation. This individual will be responsible for building an integrated plan for innovation and advanced technology roadmaps across biologics, small molecules and hybrid operations for The Lilly Medicine Foundry in support of future Lilly manufacturing.  Further, the role will be expected to design across clinical development and into commercialization to maintain alignment with evolving business needs and growing network.</p><p></p><p>The Sr. Director Design and Integration Leader is a 12-15 month project position supporting the design and integration of the new LRL Medicines Foundry site with future manufacturing production.  The role requires leveraging Lilly’s global network to identify and implement novel solutions, ensuring innovation remains central to operations and can be scaled where appropriate. The leader will collaborate closely with global cross-functional teams and supporting organizations to foster a culture of creativity, operational excellence, and cutting-edge advancements.</p><p></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><p>Design an integrated strategy for biologics, small molecule and hybrid manufacture and development that bridges clinical and commercial manufacture.  Namely, clinical supply at the Lilly Medicine Foundry in partnership with LRL and subsequent integration into global manufacturing, especially future receiving sites such as Kinsale. </p></li><li><p>Translating a vision of innovation into operational and strategic initiatives for clinical material sites such as the Foundry in alignment with commercialization to future global manufacturing sites.</p></li><li><p>Ensure designs allow for flexibility to ensure delivery on this strategy including introduction of new technologies that may not be known today.</p></li><li><p>During design and into operational readiness, develop an aligned strategy for integration and application of technologies to both pipeline modalities and commercialized products with partner facilities.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with supporting functions and stakeholders to optimize technology adoption, operational efficiency, and strategic alignment.</p></li><li><p>For Biologics - incorporating Next Gen Bioprocessing principles into the Biologics building design, especially as it relates to future technologies of downstream processing for mAbs and related modalities</p></li><li><p>For all modalities, leverage capacity planning to challenge the current design, planned footprint, and technology selections.</p></li><li><p>Based on knowledge and experiences within the manufacturing organization, educate and influence the LRL leadership on the necessary capability, capacity and culture to operate this facility to the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.</p></li><li><p>Develop and implement the systems and processes needed to run the site, leveraging existing Lilly knowledge where necessary, but also incorporating external learning.  </p></li></ul><p></p><p>Key attributes for success will be a visionary and dynamic leader with a passion for innovation, a collaborative mindset, and the expertise to deliver impactful results that advance Lilly’s mission to create breakthrough medicines.</p><p></p><p><b>Pre-Requisites </b></p><ul><li><p>Candidates must be mobile to US based organizations after a defined qualification period at the site. </p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Basic Requirements:</b></p><ul><li><p><span>A minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a related field.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Minimum of 8 years of experience in a technical
