Duties, Responsibilities & Other

 

KCI is looking for enthusiastic and motivated college students (rising juniors, seniors, or graduate students) to join our Marine team with a focus on diving projects. 

 

Interns will work under the guidance of a technical manager within KCI's structural engineering practice, gaining hands-on experience with real-world diving projects.  The summer intern will work 40 hours a week for approximately 10 weeks. 

  • Must be enrolled in a college engineering program focused on Civil Engineering or related field
  • Assist in creating plans, quantities, and cost estimates for bridge projects.
  • Conduct data analysis and reporting related to structural engineering.
  • Complete field surveys or laboratory assignments specific to bridge engineering.
  • Engage in entry-level engineering, design, or drafting tasks.
  • Prepare engineering studies and coordinate design plans with other disciplines.
  • Apply quality control procedures in alignment with ISO standards. 

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a college Engineering program.
  • MicroStation or AutoCAD skills desired but not required.
  • No experience required.
  • Minimum GPA 3.0
  • Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
