Job Summary
The Events Coordinator is a full-time position responsible for assisting in oversight of the daily operations at the Union Square Garage and Campus Access Booths to provide the highest level of customer service in regards to parking and transit operations to all University affiliates and guests. This position will also contribute to the overall event operations including; event set up, scheduling, billing, and staffing. This position will be required to work some weekends and nights.
Job Responsibilities
35% Assists in the operation of daily events and the Union Square Garage. Supervises guest service student employees. Facilitates training for the employees in the previously mentioned area on various aspects to include but not limited to: parking regulations, campus information, and customer services. Ensures the highest quality of customer service is provided to all visitors at the various locations.
35% Coordinates the daily event process from the planning stage to the final execution of the overall process including all ongoing event status update reports. Contributes to the event set up process utilizing cost efficient production methods including, but not limited to, event set up, breakdown, event staffing, and scheduling
15% Oversees the issuance of coupon validation to provide daily, monthly, quarterly, and other reports as requested. Serves as the Building Coordinator for the Union Square Garage, and Campus Access Booths. Ensures compliance with all University policies and procedures including the Traffic & Parking Regulations.
10% Collaborates with leadership team members to achieve division, department, and university goals. Communicates clearly to staff job expectations and how their efforts support Parking and Transportation Services mission of providing courteous, helpful, prompt and professional service to all customers. Provides employees guidance, coaching, and encouragement to pursue professional development, learning opportunities, and training. Advances assigned programs through continuous improvement of existing products/services and innovation of new products/services that respond to customer needs. Oversees and protects the department's fiscal/budget and assets through careful stewardship.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with one to two years' experience in a supervisory, management or leadership role.
Special Qualifications
Ability to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time in outdoor and indoor conditions. Ability to operate 2-way radio. This position requires extensive overtime to be worked as needed. Must be able to work night and weekend shifts.
Per PS-18 this position is deemed essential to campus operations and will be required to report to or remain on campus during times of emergency or closure.
Due to the nature of the position and/or position responsibilities, this position shall be subject to drug/alcohol testing in accordance with PS-67.
Minimum Certifications/Licenses
A valid driver's license
