General Summary

This position is responsible for promoting, developing, and selling Granite construction, materials and services by establishing and maintaining effective relationships with potential customers.

Essential Job Accountabilities

• Execute business development action plans for defined targets to ensure region growth goals are attained.

• Develop and identify prospects from current clients, referrals, leads, and other sources to make sure goals are achieved.

• Prepare and issue reports on prospect pipeline, current sales, forecasts, and market trends so that regional operations can effectively grow their businesses.

• Plan and attend industry trade and convention shows to generate leads for future business.

• Assist in the development and implementation of the strategic marketing plan, department sales objectives, and individual sales plans to ensure goals are met.

• Provide input on issues relevant to client programs, work in progress, marketing initiatives and sales assistance to ensure strong client relationships.

• Coordinate with Estimating team to identify key strategic partners to ensure competitive bid process.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Construction or Civil Engineering, preferred.

Work Experience

• 7 to 10 industry experience.

• Minimum 3 years business development experience.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

• Proficiency with all MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

• Knowledge of materials and construction sales practices.

• Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively disseminate information.

• Ability to generate leads and close deals.

• Public speaking and presentation skills a must.

Benefits may vary for positions located outside of the continental United States.

Base Salary Range: 

$107,886.00 - $161,828.00

Pay may vary based upon relevant experience, skills, location, and education among other factors.  ​
