Join the Cleveland Clinic team, where you will work alongside passionate caregivers and provide patient-first healthcare. The G91 Pulmonary/Integrated Care Unit at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus is part of Cleveland Clinic health system’s Respiratory Institute. G91 is a 34-bed unit that services higher acuity pulmonary step-down patients. Our nursing staff members are specially trained in the care of pulmonary and general medicine patients. As a Registered Nurse, you will become familiar with complex medical histories, innovative surgical procedures, pain modalities, and comprehensive nutritional support. Your primary duties will include but are not limited to:   

• Providing direct nursing care.  

• Monitoring, recording, and communicating patients’ conditions as appropriate.  

• Preparing patient care plans.  

• Administering prescribed medications.    

The future caregiver is someone who:  

• Communicates effectively with patients and team members.    

• Is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.  

• Can critically think and problem solve for patients’ best interests.   

• Can provide emotional, spiritual, and psychological support to patients.

Responsibilities:

• Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
• Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
• Maintains professional growth and development through ongoing formal and informal education and clinical nursing study.
• Other duties as assigned.
