The basics of this position:

Performs duties necessary to repair, maintain, operate and demonstrate engineering equipment used in training of students; ensures facilities and equipment are maintained in a safe operating condition and that activities comply with safety standards and procedures.

What you'll do:

  • Repairs/operates/demonstrates microcomputer equipment, electronic equipment
    and devices, peripherals, printers, and other such items used in conjunction with
    CNC, PLC and Robot controllers.
    Prepares lab projects for students and instructors, i.e., material preparation,
    machine setup including dry run, project procedure evaluation or creation.
    Supervises and instructs students in labs.
    Schedules equipment repair and/or maintenance.
    Develops procedures for operation of upgraded or new equipment.
    Researches and evaluates new technologies for future capital purchases.
    Purchases supplies for all labs and classes.
    Maintains a safe working environment in all labs.
    Consults with students for class registration.
    Evaluates and requests needed physical plant maintenance.
    Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Education, experience, and other requirements:

AAS in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering Technology and over three years
