BAS Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Performs advanced troubleshooting of hardware and software associated with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and computer networking equipment integral to the automation system architectures. The position requires comprehensive knowledge of BAS hardware and software used for applications involving control/automation of complex mechanical systems. Successful applicant will assist in properly maintaining automation programming, troubleshooting, diagnosing, operating, automation backups, and networks for the various related automation systems. In addition to building automation duties successful applicant will also use their expertise in controls to provide support and troubleshooting in the field for the site mechanical systems as well as performing preventative maintenance, tests, and repairs on mechanical equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Qualified at the expert Level HVAC Mechanic and Technician

- Candidate must possess secret clearance.

KNOWLEDGE OF:

• DDC systems,
• Solar water heating. 
• NAVFAC or USACE regulations.
• BAS Systems
• cooling coils, and
• filter units,
• evaporation coolers,
• electronics
• condensers,
• boilers
• chilled water piping,
• pipe insulation and supports,
• supply and exhaust fans,
• thermostats, flexible connections,
• ductwork, vent piping duct, insulation, registers, grills, diffusers, air control   devices,
• electrical controls and devices

Additional requirements:

• Must be fluent in English
• Must possess passport with at least 12 months of remaining validity AND with at least 6 blank visa/stamp pages (front and back) remaining
• Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity
