Job Summary

The Special Parts Assembler is responsible for assembling custom and semi-custom parts per order as needed for production.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Cuts and assembles special parts as indicated on recap sheet and/or prints according to production standards and procedures.
• Uses a variety of equipment in the department including saws, sanders, small hand tools, overhead router, shapers, etc.
• Verifies items are of correct size, fit together properly and of good quality before sending to the next area.
• Ensures product has proper job number, item number, and production date and is delivered to the designated areas for further assembling or finishing.
• Participates and contributes to a Work Team environment and follows Quality Control checks.
• Follows all Safety Rules and contributes to a safe work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Angle modified cabinets (Framed/Frameless)
• #2, #3, #6 Family Vanities
• Pilaster/Turnpost end panels
• INT Hoods
• Columns
• Posts/Bunfeet/Corbels processing and inspection

Requirements

Required Education, Training or Experience

• High School education or up to one-month related training or experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Able to read a tape measure in standard and metric units
• Able to read shop prints or job tickets

Shop Environment

Employees must be able to cope with climates; endure heat and cold conditions in the shop. Fast paced workloads and high noise levels are normal. Paint fumes and exposure to chemicals associated with an industrial paint department may be present. Personal Protective Equipment as required by OSHA will be provided by the Company.
