Job Description

The Role:

As the Head of Product Strategy for Search, you will hold the reins of the Performics search product portfolio, wielding both visionary and tactical knowledge. Your expertise will directly influence our position in the marketplace, ensuring that our search products are not only at the cutting-edge but also tailored to the ever-evolving needs of our clients and the broader industry.

 

You will shape our search product capability to deliver and support on our global addressable goals including: solutions, commercials, product, talent, community and thought leadership. You will partner with the other capability leaders on Social, Programmatic, Commerce, Affiliates and Data to develop our cross-channel strategy.

You will report to a Global Team.

Key Responsibilities:

Product:

  1. Strategic Vision: Work with the channel lead, you will need to define and promote a clear strategic vision for the agency's search product ecosystem, ensuring agreement on long-term goals.
  2. Product Roadmap: Develop and execute upon a comprehensive product roadmap, prioritizing plans based on growth, client needs, and market trends.
  3. Product Enablement: Work with regional enablement leads to ensure product rollout globally and develop training and support frameworks to ensure our teams are equipped to leverage and advocate for our search products.
  4. Operational Excellence: Ensure smooth end-to-end management of the search product lifecycle, from brainstorming to deployment and post-launch optimizations, ensuring efficient development, launch, and iteration.
  5. Product Metrics: Implement mechanisms to monitor, analyze, and report on product performance metrics, ensuring products meet profitability and growth objectives.

 

Innovation:

  1. Innovation in Search: Identify, pilot, and scale new search product offerings based on evolving market needs, technological advancements, and client requirements.
  2. Market Analysis: Lead exhaustive market and competitive research to inform product strategies and unearth areas of innovation within search. Monitor the evolving search landscape, ensuring our products remain ahead of trends, algorithms, and industry shifts.
  3. Customer Research: Engage with partners, both internally and externally, to perform in-depth customer interviews and gather feedback to inform product strategies and identify potential client pain points and areas of innovation in the search domain.
  4. Technical Oversight: Stay up to date about algorithm changes, search technologies, and best practices to ensure Performic’s search products are ahead of the curve.

 

Leadership:

  1. Collaborative Leadership: Engage with teams across channel leads, enablement, product marketing, operations, and technology, to ensure product strategies and implementations align with our goals and resources.
  2. Product Evangelist: Engage with senior company partners, clients, and external partners to advocate for the agency's search strategy vision.

Qualifications

  • The Criteria
    1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field;
    2. 10+ years of experience in search product strategy or related roles, with experience in success in large, global teams.
    3. A history of building and scaling search products.
    4. Understanding of global search trends, challenges, and technological advancements.
    5. Expertise in search technologies, platforms, and best practices.
    6. Mastery of analytical tools, product management software, and search platforms.
    7. Evidence of achieving strategic Goals, growth metrics, and client satisfaction at a global scale.
