We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our full-service engineering team! We design innovative world-class projects utilizing state-of-the-art technologies. This is a hands-on position with the Facilities Market Sector. Primary role will include senior level electrical design and design team oversight for facilities supporting new construction and renovations in collaboration with owners, architects, civil, structural, mechanical, and fire protection engineers. Duties may also include construction inspection of facility and utility projects. This is a great career opportunity for a dynamic, energetic individual looking to grow in their profession.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Provides broad support to the RESPEC Alaska-based engineering team
  • Assists staff with engineering calculations and reports
  • Maintain and develop client relationships
  • Mentor Junior level engineering and production staff
  • Oversee the development of design documents
  • Quality control of electrical and multi-discipline design documents

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering
  • 15+ years related consulting experience
  • Alaska PE or ability to obtain Alaska PE via comity within 6 months.
  • Experience leading a team of engineers and design professionals
  • Business Development experience.
  • Solid knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Teams
  • Knowledge and previous experience performing fault (short circuit), circuit breaker coordination and arc flash analysis using SKM Power Tools preferred or similar software
  • Knowledge in performing or reviewing lighting calculations to IESNA standards
  • Ability to be granted access to federal military installations
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and able to take on new tasks
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
  • Detail oriented & well organized with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills
  • Desire to learn and advance in technical skills and understanding

Additional Preferred Experience/Skills

  • 5+ years of Arctic/Sub-Arctic design experience
  • 5+ years of Department of Defense
  • MBA
  • Use of AutoCAD as a design tool
  • Use of REVIT as a design tool
  • Antarctic experience
  • Alaska Business Development/Client base 
  • Demonstrated Construction Administration or Inspection
  • Knowledge of cost estimating
  • Specifications development using MasterSpec and Specs Intact masters.
  • Current or recent security clearance

Compensation and Benefits: Salary depends on experience and expertise.
