THE POSITION

As an Enterprise MDM Engineer, you are responsible for the design, implementation, and management of mobile device management solutions across a large-scale enterprise environment. You will ensure secure and efficient management of mobile devices, applications, and data across various platforms such as macOS, iOS, Android, Windows, etc. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize our mobile operations ensuring security policies, compliance standards, and performance are maintained.


THE GAME PLAN

  • Implement, configure, and maintain our MDM platforms such as Jamf, Microsoft Intune, and similar systems
  • Develop and enforce policies for the management of mobile devices, including security configurations, access controls, and compliance protocols
  • Build automations within the existing MDM platforms to facilitate deployment of applications, policies, and security controls
  • Ensure that mobile devices meet security standards, including encryption, password policies, remote wipe capabilities, and multi-factor authentication (MFA)
  • Manage the lifecycle of mobile applications on managed devices including provisioning/deprovisioning, automatic updating, securing, etc.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex issues related to mobile devices, apps, or MDM platform performance
  • Work closely with cybersecurity, networking, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration of MDM systems into broader IT environments
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy laws (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.) and corporate policies, providing audit reports and security insights
  • Evaluate emerging MDM technologies and strategies to improve the efficiency, security, and scalability of the mobile environment
  • Liaise with MDM solution vendors to manage software updates, feature rollouts, and resolve issues
  • Develop & maintain configuration documentation by consistently updating knowledge bases and conduct knowledge transfer reviews with support teams
  • Work with Security Engineers to analyze risks and mitigation within the system
  • Maintain contact with vendors, industry peers, and professional associations to keep informed of existing and evolving industry standards, technologies, and cyber threats
  • Develop business relationships and integrate activities with other departments to ensure successful implementation and support project efforts.  

 

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure with at least 2 years specializing in Mobile Device Management (MDM)
  • Experience with leading Mobile Device Management efforts (Jamf, Microsoft Intune, Kandji, Hexnode, etc) for different device platforms (macOS, iOS, Windows, Android)
  • Experience with managing zero-touch policies and processes for devices ranging from laptops to BYOD (bring-your-own-device)
  • Proven experience in designing, deploying, and managing large-scale enterprise MDM solutions.
  • Proven experience in providing Tier 3 troubleshooting for device-related support issues
  • Understanding of mobile operating systems (iOS, Android, Windows) and their respective security frameworks
  • Knowledge of mobile application management (MAM), mobile content management (MCM), and mobile threat defense (MTD) systems
  • Familiarity with enterprise security best practices, including encr
