A Day in the Life of our Senior System EngineerAs a Senior System Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting multiple clients systems infrastructure needs for both on premise and in the cloud. This includes but is not limited to network security, infrastructure design, office build outs, building moves, remote connectivity, virtualization, on premise to cloud migrations, etc. In addition, you will provide level 3 support to our Help Desk and Desktop Support teams.

Daily Objectives

• Maintain client's server infrastructure including provisioning , configuration, patch management, updates, backup & restore
• Monitor client's server infrastructure for uptime
• Proactively resolve issues
• Leverage automation tools to optimize workflows
• Design and implement custom infrastructure for unique client requirements
• Troubleshoot common Server/Systems issues
• Work with business process owners to write and implement policy such as access controls, business continuity plans and backup/retention policies

Qualifications and Skills

• 5+ yrs. as a System Engineer with Windows Server /Active Directory /DFS /DNS /DHCP & current technologies
• 3+ yrs experience with infrastructure automation , configuration management and scripting tools (bash, powershell, ansible, terraform, chef, puppet, cloud formation)
• 4+ yrs experience with hypervisor configuration (VMware ESXi)
• 2+ yrs experience with AWS infrastructure & services
• 2+ yrs experience with Linux OS
• 2+ years of experience with Networking Hardware
• Experience with Storage of large amounts of data
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to write and maintain technical documentation

Desired Skills

• Knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP
• Working knowledge of VLAN/Subnet designs, 802.1x wired and wireless
• Experience with Azure and GCP, Office 365, Google Workspaces, etc.
• Infrastructure Monitoring tools
• Working knowledge of PKI (Windows CA, LetsEncrypt)
• Working knowledge of AWS Devops Tools suite
• Working knowledge of Pure storage
