Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or corporate advisory experience, or 8 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 5 years of experience working with executive stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in a related field.
  • 4 years of experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, or a digital media environment.
  • 4 years of experience in people management.
  • Experience creating data sets, data modeling, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of Google’s Ads products, sales teams, or service operations, and the customer and engaged contexts in which they operate.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience presenting to and influencing executives.

About the job

As the Head of Strategy and Operations, Third Party Ecosystem, you will be responsible for managing the Sales Go-to-Market (GTM) team supporting the Agency and Third Party Ecosystem business across Google’s global advertisers, partners and agencies and trade bodies. In this role, you will partner closely with executive Sales leaders and their teams, as well as cross-functional stakeholders, to ensure delivery of the business priorities for Agency and Third Party Ecosystem, drive sales cadence, improve sales effectiveness and efficiency across the entire business, and execute business-accelerating initiatives globally.The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $234,000-$326,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify key questions and translate long-term goals and strategy into defined projects.
  • Partner with Project Director and Principal Leads to select projects and staff team capacity to lead projects that optimize operating structure and resource allocation or aimed to streamline cross-functional collaboration for faster execution.
  • Lead projects that are operationally intensive and cross-functional to ensure there is structure and timely delivery of project goals.
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators and timelines for each project, regular metrics reporting, that tie back to goals, and post-implementation impact analysis.
  • Develop best practices, templates, and tools specific to each domain that can be utilized for future initiatives.
