Description
Payment Exception CoordinatorFull-time, Hybrid, 1-Year Temporary Contract
The Payment Exception Coordinator is responsible for the accurate processing and reconciliation of payments across multiple systems and lockboxes for both Canadian and U.S. operations. Core responsibilities include managing payments and refunds, processing EFT and W9 requests, resolving payment discrepancies, and collaborating closely with branch accountants to ensure timely issue resolution.
The role also supports operational workflows by handling mail related to Enforcement and Monthly Parking, preparing cheque deposits, arranging courier services, and posting unidentified cheques. This hybrid position requires onsite work at the Vancouver downtown office once per week to complete essential in‑person duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate payment‑related inquiries, handle refunds, and post payments for all Impark brand accounts, supporting accurate processing and reconciliation across multiple systems and lockboxes.
- Liaise with the Accounting team to resolve payment discrepancies and ensure issues are addressed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Download reports and post exceptions within internal parking systems to support ongoing financial and operational workflows.
- Collect, sort, and process mail received from both U.S. and Canadian operations, including Enforcement and Monthly Parking correspondence.
- Prepare courier packages and cheque deposits for lockboxes, including posting unidentified cheques as required.
- Perform other administrative and operational duties that support the goals and objectives of the SOS and CX Department.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 1+ years of data entry and admin experience
- Excellent oral and written communication in English
- Analytical and problem-solving ability
- Exceptional self-directed time management skills
- Ability to succeed with minimal supervision in a deadline-oriented environment
- Skilled in Excel, Word, Outlook
- Quiet, dedicated workspace with minimum internet speed of 150mbps
