Role Description:

We are seeking a seasoned SAP S/4HANA Finance & Controlling (FICO) Architect with expertise in Austria & Switzerland Localization, and integrating SAP Concur for Travel and Expense Management. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in S/4HANA Greenfield Implementation, Rollouts, Global template design, and end-to-end implementation cycles, particularly in multinational environments. The candidate will also demonstrate advanced expertise in inventory valuation, validation and substitution setup, and intercompany configuration within S/4HANA environments.

 

Key Responsibilities

FICO Configuration & Implementation:

• Design, configure, and optimize SAP S/4HANA FI/CO modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Asset Accounting, Controlling, Profit center Accounting, and Product Costing
• Configure and manage inventory valuation processes, leveraging Material Ledger, standard/moving average/actual costing, and parallel valuation as required
• Customize and optimize financial processes to align with business requirements and SAP best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate FICO modules with other SAP modules such as MM, SD, and PP.
• Develop and execute integration strategies between SAP Concur and SAP S/4HANA System for seamless data exchange related to employee master data, cost objects, and financial postings.
• Set up and maintain validation and substitution rules in SAP S/4HANA to enforce business logic and automate data corrections in financial postings.
• Design and implement intercompany processes, including intercompany billing, stock-in-transit, and profit elimination, ensuring accurate valuation and reporting across entities.
• Conduct business process analysis, workshops, and requirements gathering with stakeholders across global and Austrian business units.
• Support data migration, testing, training, and post-go-live activities, ensuring smooth project delivery and adoption.
• Develop and deliver engaging end-user training programs and materials to ensure effective adoption of Core functionalities.
• Provide expert advice on process improvements, system enhancements, and best practices in SAP S/4HANA Finance and Controlling
• Actively take part in Unit Testing, User Acceptance testing.

 

Global Rollout & Template Management:

• Lead the rollout of SAP S/4HANA FICO and Integrate with SAP Concur solutions, ensuring alignment with global standards and local requirements.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including business blueprints, Global templates, functional specifications, configuration guides, and test scripts, ensuring consistency and compliance across regions.
• Coordinate with regional teams to gather requirements, configure solutions, and provide training and support.

 

Project Management & Stakeholder Engagement:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
• Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful project completion.
• Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on project progress and issues.
• Ensure adherence to project governance and compliance standards.

 

Required Skills & Experience:

• 15+ years of SAP Finance experience, including at least 5 years as an architect for S/4HANA greenfield implementations.
• 5+ Years of experience in working in SAP S/4HANA Environment
• Minimum 3 End to End Implementation experience in Rise with SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud Environment.
