Duties and Role:

• The candidate will create and implement a cloud security monitoring strategy and integration with on premise Security systems, be involved in writing the implementation plan and approach for this, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team of specialists.
• The candidate will develop a cloud security architecture (that goes beyond monitoring) which can cover the main Cloud Service Providers independently of model, including the use of Cloud Access Security Brokers.

Skill, Knowledge & Experience:

• The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance
• The candidate has a proactive attitude in seeking and maintaining trust from stakeholders understanding their needs, requesting and proposing constructive ways ahead.
• Active listening and excellent writing knowledge of formal UK English are required for this role.
• As writing (collaboratively) on documentation is an important part, collaboration skills and teamwork are required.
• The candidate will, preferably, have several years' experience working as a cloud architect for large organizations (>1.000 concurrent users) and will have, during their career, designed, developed and monitored different types of cloud architectures and advised customers in the field of cloud security, specifically cloud security monitoring.
• The candidate will have experience with guiding organisations deployments and migrations to public-, private- and hybrid- cloud solutions.
• As a result of this long experience, the candidate will have a deep working-level understanding of the various security mechanisms available per Cloud Service Provider and model (i.e., SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, etc.) and their implementations, advantages and constraints, specifically with regards to Confidentiality, Availability and Integrity.
• The candidate will have thorough knowledge of (SSO) authentication mechanisms and is able to design and advice on implementation approaches in complex environments with complex demands on compliance.
• Ideally, the candidate is able to share a signed organisation reference, which displays successful design of cloud implementation approach for a large organisation.
