Job Description

The Revenue Cycle Representative I in the SBO department is responsible for providing an excellent customer experience through efficient, timely and professional responses to inquiries, verification of coverage, collection of payments, follow-up to customer issues and support of the Financial Assistance process. Our goal is "one touch, one call, one email" resolution which requires knowledge of all aspects of Revenue Cycle.

Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.

Identify patient needs, clarify information and review inquiry presented.

· Research and resolve patient and / or guarantor inquiries in an expedited manner, striving for the

“one touch” resolution with a high degree of quality and customer satisfaction.

· Determine if escalation is required and triage as appropriate and applicable.

· Resolve inquiries received from external early out vendors and/or financial assistance partner.

· Review all self-pay credit balance, validate patient refunds and initiate refund process.

· Set up payment plans in patient accounting system. Facilitate patient estimates and financial pre-

clearance for cosmetic surgery and international patients.

· Maintain assigned system work queues.

Education:

High School Diploma/GED required

AND

Experience:

Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a healthcare business office setting or customer

service/collections

Epic, Microsoft applications – preferred
