General Notes
The Population Research Center (PRC) is seeking a postdoctoral scholar with a Ph.D. in sociology, human development and family science, demography, developmental psychology, or a related discipline to work with faculty and researchers on two projects led by Dr. Robert Crosnoe and his PRC colleagues in sociology and human development. The first is a current NIA project on the health of mothers of young adult children with health conditions, and the second is a pending NICHD project on racial/disparities in exposure to family deaths and its effects on the transition into adulthood. Both are mixed methods projects, either integrating statistical analyses of population data with a qualitative data collection or combining a population study with a lab-based biosocial data collection. The postdoctoral scholar will join the PRC’s postdoctoral training program, with its many associated professional development, mentoring, and capacity-building activities.
