Department Summary

The Department of Counseling and Higher Education is one of four departments in the University of North Texas College of Education. The department houses two academic programs: Counselor Education and Higher Education. We promote human development through education, research, and service that advance the professions of, and scholarship in, counseling and higher education. Position Overview

The Counseling & Higher Education Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire an Internship Field Supervisor to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

• Supervising and meet with Counseling Internship, master’s level students.
• Coordinate and meet with site supervisors' multiple times each semester; and
• Evaluate and report student progress with university supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

Position requires PhD level counselor, licensed in Texas.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Supervise PhD & Master students in Internship/Practicum setting while counseling clients.
• Ability to effectively supervise counselor trainees and provide feedback.
• Excellent communication skills.

Job Duties:

• Observe COUN students during client sessions.
• Work with CFRC Clinic Director on student needs.
• Assist students with counseling clients during session.

Work Schedule:

5 to 10 hours per week, depending on schedule
