In the Security Officer position, you’ll be responsible for executing tasks that support a safe and secure work environment. You will encourage compliance of and serve as a subject matter expert on all site-specific policies and procedures related to maintaining a safe and secure environment, while constantly striving to provide outrageous customer service to both our internal customers (Partners) and campus visitors, alike.
The shift for this position is Monday - Friday, 2:00pm - 10:00pm based upon required shift coverage and requires working a weekend rotation every 6-8 weeks or as needed.

An ability to flex on scheduling as priorities change frequently, including holidays and weekends on a rotational schedule
Safely climb ladders up to 20 feet and as well as stairs
Lift 35 lbs. unassisted using safe lifting techniques
Ability to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking, sitting as much as six hours a day and otherwise moving as much as eight hours a day
Ability to walk outside from one to several miles daily on paved walkways throughout the year
What You’ll Do and Impact:
Responds to requests from Partners with access badge issues, modifying badge access levels, and replacing damaged or lost access badges
Grants access to secured offices for Environment Services Partners to complete daily cleaning, and re-secures
Removes event-related signage and traffic control devices post event
Conducts regular, routine inspections and verifies functionality of gates, emergency exits, fences, exterior doors, and overhead doors
Escorts and monitors security system technicians responding to service requests as well as fire and municipal inspectors conducting routine inspections
