About the role
The Petal mission
Petal’s mission is to expand access to opportunity, by making responsible, modern financial services available to everyone. Founded in 2016, Petal provides technology-enabled credit cards to consumers who are historically underserved by mainstream providers.
Petal pioneered automated cash flow underwriting, a transformative new approach to assessing consumer creditworthiness with the potential to expand access to tens of millions of U.S. consumers without credit history, or for whom traditional credit scores do not tell the whole story. Petal pairs this groundbreaking, data-driven underwriting technology with a mobile-first, digitally native product experience designed to help users manage and build credit responsibly. For Petal, it’s a mission as much as it is a business—with a goal to reimagine finance for the next generation of consumers.
At Petal, we're looking for people with kindness, positivity, and integrity. You're encouraged to apply even if your experience doesn't precisely match the job description. Your skills and potential will stand out—and set you apart—especially if your career has taken some extraordinary twists and turns. At Petal, we welcome diverse perspectives from people who think rigorously and aren't afraid to challenge assumptions.
The People Team
Petal’s mission is fueled by extraordinary talent, and our People team ensures each Petalian experiences our values from the time you apply for a role, to your first day on the job, to your key learning and growth milestones throughout your time at Petal. Our ability to welcome, develop, recognize, and retain our bright and talented teammates is critical to the long-term success and growth of our company. The People team provides the resources, thought leadership, programs, and policies that our leaders, managers, and team members need to succeed.
The Senior Associate, Talent Acquisition & Experience role
We are looking for a Senior Associate (Recruiter) who will strengthen our capacity to deliver exceptional experiences and results throughout the talent lifecycle. You must be a self-starter with an inherent drive to efficiently and effectively fill roles across the organization, and then operationalize the processes that help those individuals succeed. While you should work well independently, you also should be excited to collaborate with hiring managers, interviewers, and our executive leadership team. You will be responsible for identifying and implementing creative sourcing techniques; recruiting and nurturing talented candidates; representing Petal in initial applicant screens; building out employer branding initiatives; and much more.
Once new hires are in the door, you will remain a key point of contact within the People function as a team generalist, leading talent operations and processes that set new hires and long-tenured Petalians up for success. If you are curious about growing in the talent acquisition (TA) space and leading special projects that span the employee lifecycle, this role could be a great fit!
