Job Description:

The Lead Data Specialist/Programmer will lead the technical execution of all data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes during the transition from PowerCampus to the new Workday Student Information System (SIS).  This position ensures data integrity through advanced SQL scripting, manages data validation, coordinates with vendors, and documents all processes to support system transition success.

Essential Job Functions: 

25%  A.  Lead design and development of SQL-based ETL workflows.  

• Design, develop, and maintain SQL-based ETL workflows for extracting, transforming, and loading student data into Workday Student. 

• Ensure scalability, repeatability, and accuracy of ETL processes. 

20%  B.  Extract, cleanse, and transform student data from PowerCampus for migration. 

• Extract, cleanse, and transform student, academic, and administrative data from PowerCampus and other legacy sources. 

• Support iterative test migrations and reconcile results to ensure consistency. 

20%  C.  Document data mapping, validation, and reconciliation processes. 

• Document data mapping, transformation logic, and migration processes. 

• Establish validation protocols to confirm accuracy of migrated data across systems. 

20%  D.  Resolve data integrity issues pre and post migration. 

• Identify and resolve data integrity and quality issues before and after migration. 

• Partner with functional stakeholders to ensure records align with institutional requirements. 

10%  E.    Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional business partners, IT colleagues, and external vendors to align migration strategy with project timelines. 

• Provide data insights and technical support to project leadership. 

5%    F.     Supervise the work of the Junior IT Data Analyst and Reporting Specialist 

• Mentor and guide the Junior IT Data Analyst and Reporting Specialist
