About the role

Job Duties: Associate, Business Unit COO (Chief Operating Officer) with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Dallas, Texas. Work with proprietary business tooling to recommend pricing levels and structures for hedge fund clients based on provided sample portfolios. Extensively source and analyze data through internal proprietary business systems and external systems, such as Excel and Alteryx, applying knowledge in finance and engineering. Produce recurring analysis on clients missing agreed upon revenue targets and present to funding team in order to determine best course of action with client. Present financial and data analytics to senior management to highlight historical business performance and project future performance on a recurring basis. Produce and explain bespoke analyses of specific market events, initiatives and trends. Assess the impact of platform and product development on the strategic growth of the business and contribute ideas towards the forward strategic direction of the business. Conduct research and analysis on competitive landscape of Equities business.

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Management, Computer Science, or a related computational and Engineering specialty, such as Civil Engineering. Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include three (3) years in the following: working in equity markets, performing analyses and reviewing financial concepts regarding equities financing and prime brokerage offerings; working with different front to back teams across institutional equities sales and trading leveraging understanding of equities operations and client onboarding process; and managing relationship conflicts or any issues that may arise with clients due to their nuance priorities and expectations. Prior experience must include one (1) year in the following: building reports utilizing automation tooling, including Alteryx; managing multiple short to long term projects as a key or leading contributor in charge of meeting deadlines while complete day to day responsibilities; utilizing Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel including detailed logic and finance formulas, data tables, filters, and pivot tables to reference and analyze large quantities of data and facilitate financial modeling; and performing data and trend analysis and working on reporting and automation utilizing data aggregation and analysis methodologies, including Alteryx and advanced Excel functionalities.
