What You Will Achieve
The Continuous Improvement Senior Manager will report to Site Transformation Director. This role is part of the Continuous Improvement organization and will be heavily involved with building capability through all of IMEX elements like standardized tiered meetings, VM Boards, Structured Gemba and Continuous Improvement Loops to support IMEx Pfizer Production System, throughout the McPherson Site. The role will involve Continuous Improvement problem solving methodologies such as Root Cause Analysis and Method 1, 2, 3, and 4.
The Continuous Improvement Senior Manager will work closely with the Site Transformation Director and will manage and lead the Continuous Improvement Specialists team, establishing partnerships with site’s functional areas and network resources to drive a strategic Continuous Improvement Culture. The role is expected to identify and lead the implementation of process improvements including safety, quality, supply and waste reduction projects of varying size and complexity in the functional areas of the site.
How You Will Achieve It
Lead and inspire Continuous Improvement Specialists team to drive Continuous Improvement Culture throughout the site.
Act as a change agent who is dedicated to inspiring and fostering positive change for the site.
Support the education of Continuous Improvement Specialists and site colleagues in Continuous Improvement principles through coordinating, leading/facilitating classes, projects, workshops, and coaching/mentoring.
Develop CI team and skillsets to drive site support/ development related to CI principles and further support IMEx implementation/roles through development of core resources.
Coach/facilitate/lead project teams, assist in CI strategy definition, solve problems, and implement solutions to improve operational performance by applying the appropriate CI tools.
Develop and provide strategic proposals, progress updates and presentations to all levels of the site organization, as well as corporate functions.
Support the vision of every colleague, every day, improving their work processes through IMEx and other related CI programs.
Lead, facilitate, and assign, within CI Specialists, cross functional teams completing multiple CI and/or process improvement projects linked to Site business needs.
Foster and coach data analysis processes by leveraging existing and new data collection tools (for e.g. WPM) as well as new applying the right statistical tools to enhance problem solving and continuous improvement processes.
Work effectively with other organizations on the site and on a global basis. The successful candidate will have demonstrated excellent behaviors and built an inclusive, team-oriented environment with the department, across the site and the network.
Qualifications
Must-Have
Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with at least 6 years of experience; OR a master's degree with at least 5 years of experience; OR a PhD with 1 year of experience.
Nice-to-Have
Effective project management skills and ability to meet timely deliverables.
Able to provide and facilitate strategic decision making to drive program and department decisions as a pathway to site success.
Demonstrated capability as a Change Management Agent, fostering a Continuous Improvement Culture
Strong ability to lead, challenge and positively influence in an interactive team environment.
Effective training, team facilitation, quantitative analysis and communication skills.
Experience deploying elements of Lean Management and Continuous Improvement Systems.
Ability to effectively coach/mentor/influence colleagues and manage diverse relationships.
Lean or Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
