Staff Nurse – Per Diem - Women’s Health - Mobile Medical Unit-Baby Bus – Maternal and Child Health Program -Ambulatory Care Network/ Weill Cornell

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital’s Division of Community and Population Health programs work in partnership with community-based organizations and healthcare teams to advance health equity, empowering patients and community members across New York City and Westchester County.

The Maternal and Child Health Program represents a collaborative of services designed to improve health, development, and wellness outcomes for the maternal-infant dyad.

The Mother and Baby Bus is a mobile health unit, funded through the March of Dimes, aiming to be a bridge care for family planning, pregnancy, post-partum and newborn care for women and birthing persons not connected to healthcare, especially those that are undocumented and experiencing homelessness.

As a Registered Nurse on the mobile bus, you will work together with the Nurse Practitioner & other team members to provide patient education, care & services to OB/GYN, postpartum women and newborns.

This is a per diem position that is grant funded position.  Hours will be variable including weekends and depending on events scheduled in the community.

Preferred Criteria:
•    At least one year of RN experience in Women's Health or out-patient setting
•    Certification in Ambulatory Care Nursing

Required Criteria:
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
•    Current New York State RN license 
•    BLS certification with AHA
•    At least one year of acute care RN experience

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
