This is a hybrid position. The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites up to four days per week and work remotely the remaining day(s). A member of our Talent Acquisition team will provide more details.

Overall Purpose of Job:

Support Portfolio Management Group and handle credit coverage for clients in the Diversified Industries vertical.

The Analyst will be a corporate finance professional, supporting non-investment grade coverage across an industry vertical lending business. Critical function of assessing risk factors associated with a credit and determining appropriate rating based on established policies and guidelines. Responsibilities will include supporting the active credit management of a designated portfolio utilizing solid credit and analytical skills. Provide continuous oversight of portfolio names, monitoring for potential upgrading, downgrading and credit deterioration with the goal of maximizing net income and reducing credit costs.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze the credit risk of the designated portfolio, determine accurate ratings and make recommendation of accurate and timely ratings to managers and management
  • Perform due diligence, regularly schedule reviews and detailed credit analysis
  • Prepare credit applications and credit rating applications and obtain approvals from credit divisions by working directly with RMs and senior credit analysts
  • Perform credit control and portfolio management responsibility as assigned by management or Managing Director/Department Head
  • Responsible for expanding knowledge of particular industries and for proactive coordination with execution team and Loan Transaction Unit for proper booking of newly assigned accounts
  • Gather, review and analyze critical account information from all available sources by communicating and coordinating with all related division in order to make accurate assessment or judging of the customer's financial condition and ability to fulfill debt obligations
  • Obtain and maintain full understanding of the Bank's internal credit policies & procedures and guidelines

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of one (1) year of working experience in financial institutions or equivalent in credit and risk related function analyzing general corporate customers
  • In-depth knowledge of general corporate credit analysis, credit and risk management is required
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English and strong analytical skill
  • Good computer skills in Microsoft Word/Access/Excel
  • Able to work independently and under pressure

The typical base pay range for this role is between $90K - $110K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
