Position OverviewReporting to the Chief Clinical Operations Officer (CCOO), and collaborating closely with leaders throughout the organization, the Director of Clinical Standards and Training will meaningfully contribute to the clinical quality, systems development, resilience, efficiency, growth and impact of an independently owned mission-driven healthcare services organization.
Key Initiatives Include:
Clinical Excellence:Clinical StandardsCollaborate with CCOO to establish and implement best practice clinical standards related to all aspects of a client’s ABA treatment and care including assessment, treatment planning, intervention, progress analysis, care collaboration and discharge.Contribute to and maintain a standardized CentralReach (CR) goal bank for BCBAs that spans assessment tools and goal domains for early learners 2-6 years old.Provide BCBAs with training resources and learning checklists for CentralReach user fluency; train and manage a team of CR “Superusers”.Develop and oversee audit systems to ensure quality assurance and adherence to clinical standards.Case Consultation and SupportAttend Regional BCBA Collaboration meetings to provide coaching, consultation and clinical resources for BCBA teams.Provide clinical consultation for BCBAs as needed on topics including client programming, family treatment guidance, team training/coaching, leadership development, and interpersonal skills.Oversee and implement a clinical review system related to client progress and outcomes across treatment, ensuring safe and effective service delivery.Collaborate with Clinical Leadership to maximize BCBA efficiency and ability to focus on client care through efforts dedicated to centralization, standardization and ongoing evaluation of workflow effectiveness.Clinical ComplianceStay abreast of ongoing changes to payor requirements and collaborate with BCBAs and Authorizations Team to support treatment plan denials and appeals. Update templates / workflows and communicate changes effectively and efficiently with clinical teams.Help oversee and audit appropriate Coordination of Care practicesConduct audits to ensure and measure clinical compliance with various systems (treatment plans, progress notes, etc.).
Training & Development:BCBA Initial TrainingDevelop comprehensive training materials and resources to support the onboarding of BCBAs, ensuring a strong foundation for success and a focus on ramping up to a full caseload within 3–5 months of their start date.Continuously evaluate and enhance the quality of new hire training materials and the overall onboarding experience to align with best practices, industry standards, and support BCBAs in effectively and efficiently performing their job responsibilities, in coordination with the CCOO.Training areas include, but are not limited to:Effective time management and case management strategiesBuilding and maintaining strong therapeutic relationships with families, emphasizing compassionate care and family engagement.Understanding medical necessity and managing crucial conversations with families in accordance with the Stride model and programs.Providing effective supervision while upholding Stride's cultural values.RBT/Technician Initial TrainingContinuously evaluate and enhance training materials and resources to ensure the onboarding and training of BTs/RBTs are aligned with industry best practices, creating a positive and efficient experience for new hires.Collaborate with the COO to align training metrics and expectations, particularly regarding the duration of training before new hires begin providing direct client services to manage RB
