What you will be doing

Summary:

The Warehouse Associate is a pivotal Cencora team member responsible for various tasks within the warehouse environment to ensure the smooth operation of logistics, inventory management, and RMA shipping and receiving. This role involves handling incoming and outgoing shipments, receiving, and organizing inventory, maintaining warehouse cleanliness, and supporting efficient workflow per established procedures. The associate will work with the other team members toward operational goals while maintaining quality and efficiency. Regular inventory cycle counts will be conducted as part of your responsibilities to ensure accurate stock levels. Under direct supervision, handles and maintains the flow of materials and products in warehouses with varying degrees of automation according to established standards. This position generally requires some previous experience in the Warehouse Associate role, cross-training in various areas of the warehouse, forklift user certification, and a proven low rate of errors in the Warehouse Associate role. Performs by established safety standards and adheres to all safety policies, rules, regulations, and procedures.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • General areas of responsibility include one or more of the following duties: receiving, picking, and staging customer orders, returns, shipping and inventory organization, management, and control. Other shipping & receiving activities including processing RMA’s Process Unit buildout per customer request assigned in the case
  • Communicate with vendor & schedule in warranty unit repairs
  • Retro-fit de-installed/return units
  • General areas of responsibility include one or more of the following duties: receiving, picking, and staging customer orders, returns, shipping and inventory organization, management, and control. Other shipping & receiving activities including processing RMA’s
    • Verifies merchandise received against BOL, inspects and reports discrepancies and any obvious defects.
    • Adheres to Incident and Request Management Standard Operating Procedures to ensure that all incidents and requests are accurately logged, categorized, prioritized, and updated, and that defined Service Level Agreements for response times, incident resolution, and request fulfillment are met
    • Utilizes the defined Case Management System to accurately log, categorize, prioritize, and provide timely updates on all assigned incidents, requests, and tasks
    • Utilizes the defined Configuration and Asset Management System to accurately track the physical and functional attributes of all assets, as well as the deployment, operation, maintenance, upgrade/refurbishment, de-installation, and decommissioning of those assets
    • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask effectively
    • Assists with inventory procedures as requested.
    • Ability to lift heavy objects and frequently move up to 110 pounds using forklifts, reach trucks and/or other motorized equipment
    • Provide help and support in various special projects as assigned at the fulfillment center
    • Must be mindful of customer demands and satisfaction
    • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
    • Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

 Requires completion of a high school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent combination of experience and education; one (1) plus years of work experience.

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Able to work in a climate-controlled facility
  • Ability to read and understand the English language
  • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with others.
  • Prior experience in a warehouse setting is required.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items safely, following proper lifting techniques.
  • Maintain appropriate attendance standards.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations such as receiving, picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Prior experience with inventory management systems preferred.
  • Must be able to work overtime when necessary
  • Basic math skills for inventory management and basic knowledge of using Mic
