About the team and the role:
As a Senior Product Manager Electronics, you will help lead one of the company’s most strategic verticals—redefining how buyers and sellers connect through seamless, inspiring, and AI-driven experiences. Electronics is one of eBay’s fastest growing categories in the Hard Goods umbrella within the Global Focus Category team. This role is a cornerstone in building trust in purchasing used electronic devices across eBay globally.
We are looking for an experienced, strategic product manager who can successfully navigate an ambiguous, fast-paced environment to drive innovation across buyer and seller journeys. You will be responsible for delivering groundbreaking solutions that build buyer and seller trust in eBay as a place for non-new electronics goods. You will partner closely with category business leaders, engineering, design, marketing, and global operations team members. In particular, you will own initiatives to build buyer and seller trust across the holistic experience and grow our electronics footprint globally.
What you will accomplish:
Create massive customer impact in a strategic category.
You will be able to employ AI and automation to help our incredible customers uncover the incredible inventory on eBay.
Drive the full product lifecycle for multiple features or a major product initiative, from initial discovery and opportunity sizing to launch, iteration, and post-launch analysis.
Lead and inspire confidence among a wide range of partners, including engineering, design, data science, research, and marketing. You will foster collaboration, build alignment, and drive shared goals across all team members.
Define key success metrics, leverage data and analytics to quantify customer problems, size opportunities, and ultimately measure the impact of your work on organizational goals.
Elevate end-to-end user experience. Embed customer obsession into every stage of the product lifecycle through deep partnership with UX, research, and analytics.
Ensure quality, relevance, and ease of use across fashion experiences, from listing and pricing to browsing and purchase.
Champion cross-functional collaboration. Break down organizational silos and create a unified execution model across global category teams, core product, trust, marketing, and technology.
Drive alignment and shared accountability across partner teams with clear priorities and transparent decision-making.
What you will bring:
The right candidate is obsessed with the customer, passionate about eBay, driven to create change & innovate and excited about the Electronics category. You will also meet the following criteria.
8+ years of product management or related strategy experience, with e-commerce, video, or social commerce experience highly preferred.
Passion for the electronics space and familiarity with buyer needs when purchasing used cell phones, laptops, tablets and gaming consoles.
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
Ambiguity Management: Exceptional ability to thrive in an ambiguous, 0-1 environment, distilling complex, unclear problems into a clear product vision and actionable roadmap.
Prioritization and Tradeoffs: Proven ability to evaluate options, assess trade-offs (short-term vs. long-term), and recommend a path forward, even with incomplete data.
Influence & Communication: Masters written and verbal communication, adapting your message to influence both execution teams and executive leadership. Ability to lead and inspire without direct authority.
Analytical Rigor: Proven ability to use quantitative and qualitative insights to build strong business cases, define necessary data, and measure product performance.
