Project-based position: This is a project-based position with an anticipated duration of 7+ months
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Compensation: The annual salary range for this position is $94,187.00 to $105,960. Compensation is based on location and experience.
Job Summary:
The Installation Specialist will report to the Sr. Art Installation Manager on site in Los Angeles with the installation of Meow Wolf art. As an Installation Specialist you will be in a fast paced environment that will require problem solving and creativity.
A successful candidate will have experience working in a collaborative environment and will demonstrate proficiency working with a variety of art materials and techniques. They will display willingness and potential to work with and assist other artists and specialists during installation. They will coordinate closely with fellow project stakeholders, including Creative Directors, Field Art Directors and Creative Producers. They will bring out the best in others, both creatively and culturally, as a considerate and reliable team member.
Key Responsibilities:
Experienced with low voltage termination and basic electrical standards and schematics
Must be able to read and understand blueprints/plans
Competent with rigging practices and equipment
Wood working experience
Competent with construction practices and tools
Must have experience with personnel/material lifts and working at heights
Follow OSHA guidelines
Knowledge of various art materials, equipment and processes.
Maintain exceptional organizational skills and an ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
Maintain fluid collaboration between Art Team Task Force members
Adapt to changing needs and taking on new tasks
Anticipate issues and use logical judgment with basic guidance and instruction
Solve problems creatively and in close coordination with project stakeholders and team members
Utilize interpersonal communication skills to work with diverse personalities
Demonstrate exceptional reliability, punctuality, and professionalism
Work well in groups and individually
Support a positive work atmosphere by demonstrating flexibility and enthusiasm for collaboration
