Plant Maintenance

Belfonte Ice Cream and Dairy has a day shift open for Plant Maintenance. Shift will be 5:30am to 2pm
 

Candidate will be required to assist with equipment start ups, inspect running equipment for vibrations, damage & wear. Handle any breakdowns that may occur, handle PM (preventive maintenance) duties as assigned. Repair broken parts by brazing, soldering & welding. Re-aligns and adjust components such as spindles/clutches, replace worn or defective parts of drive mechanisms & hydraulic systems. Candidate also must be able to work in varied temperature environments, from very hot (over 100 degrees) to very cold (below -20 degrees)

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• visually inspection and listening to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions
• repairs and maintains mechanical, air, electrical and hydraulic components of various equipment
• follow a preventive maintenance schedule and work with little supervision

Requirements:

• able to follow blue prints, wiring diagrams and specifications.
• able to use hand tools, power tools, welders, and precision measuring instruments.
• experience with 3-phase wiring, electrical controls, programmable controllers.
• possess strong trouble shooting abilities.
• able to follow both written and verbal instructions.
• MUST supply own hand tools

Not Required but preferred: 

• able to troubleshoot PLC's Programmable Logic Controllers & HMI's Human Machine Interfaces
•  able to arc, tig, & heli arc weld
• familiar with ammonia systems used for refrigeration.'
