This office-based role offers an exciting opportunity to work on industrial motor control systems and overhead crane control designs. Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical Design: Develop detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and control systems using AutoCAD Electrical for industrial applications.
- Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they meet deadlines, technical specifications, and budget requirements.
- System Development: Design, optimize, and troubleshoot AC/DC motor controls and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) for overhead crane systems.
- Collaboration: Provide technical support to both internal teams and external customers, assist in training control panel assembly technicians and apprentices.
- Procurement: Collaborate with the purchasing department to ensure timely ordering of materials and maintain project component inventory.
- Compliance: Adhere to NEC, UL, and industry standards in all design processes.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Design, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial motor control design; overhead crane control system experience is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of AC and DC motors, VFDs, and control system development.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
- Familiarity with NEC and UL standards.
- Ability to handle multiple projects with varying technologies and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
