Job Description
This role is only open to those that have completed a Technology Internship with Allstate within the past 12 months.
Early Career Internship ProgramThis program is designed to help you start and grow your career in technology at Allstate. Here, we drive innovative, on-demand products and services. Your 12-week internship will expose you to projects that have an impact throughout the organization. Through hands-on work, you will gain valuable experience and insight into your field area of Allstate Technology Solutions (ATS). Our internship program is designed to prepare you for future technology careers at Allstate. Interns graduating with their bachelor’s and who are high performers during their internship will have the opportunity to apply to Allstate’s Early Career Technology Development Program – a fast-paced program designed to increase technology skills and accelerate advancement in one of three career treks as a Product Engineer, Digital Product Manager, or Service Analyst.
Location: Remote with the opportunity to visit our office locations if local – Northbrook and Chicago, IL; Irving, TX; Charlotte, NC; Scottsdale, AZ
Start Date(s): Summer 2026
Job Qualifications
- Education: Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, or other relevant fields.
- Graduation Timeline: Current sophomores and juniors with an expected graduation date in 2027 or 2028.
- Work Authorization: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
- Core Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Adaptability: Demonstrates learning agility and a willingness to embrace new challenges.
- Engagement: Desire to actively participate in development workshops and virtual programming events.
Product Engineer Intern
As a Product Engineer Intern, you’ll work with cutting-edge technologies to build, enhance, and maintain Allstate’s digital solutions. You’ll:
- Develop and optimize software using modern tech stacks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with automation and root cause analysis.
- Apply human-centered design thinking to ensure user-friendly outcomes.
- Design scalable, reliable, and efficient systems.
- Foster collaboration by demonstrating empathy and a passion for engineering excellence.
Digital Product Manager Intern
As a Digital Product Manager Intern, you’ll drive the development of Allstate’s digital products by combining strategy, design, and delivery. You’ll:
- Advocate for consumer-first principles through design thinking and digital innovation.
- Participate in key planning and development ceremonies (e.g., Discovery & Framings, Iteration Planning).
- Analyze and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure product success.
- Identify creative solutions by leveraging new technologies and consumer trends.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to influence outcomes.
Service Analyst Intern
As a Service Analyst Intern, you’ll help maintain Allstate’s operational excellence by supporting processes and enhancing customer experiences. You’ll:
- Analyze incidents and problems, following protocols to minimize disruptions.
- Continuously improve processes by identifying and implementing enhancements.
- Prioritize tasks effectively and manage time to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate strong active listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Apply customer-centric principles to understand and address customer needs.
